About

While I am a husband, father, son, brother and uncle (and much more), for the purposes of this site I am an Engineer and MBA and a guy who has bought and sold stocks for many, many years. Always with the goal of making enough to be “secure”. I have gained 400% in one year and lost tons in another (darn you J Powell!). Currently, I am doing OK and can actually retire, if I wanted. Due to a family history of Dementia and Alzheimer’s though, I think I am going o keep working to keep my mind active.

This site is my give-back to people who are looking into retirement. So many people quote magic numbers (4% drawdowns in retirement, saving 10% per year, etc.) and all of it can be good for you to ingest and understand. But, especially as a Canadian, I found it hard to parse through all the material out there and had to arrive at a lot of my own conclusions. I am putting this site up to share with others and, hopefully, make it easier for you to learn. And I am also going to share any tools I develop along the way for myself.
